Smoothies on the Kauai Menu
If there’s one thing Kauai is known for in South Africa – it’s the outstanding range of smoothies on its menu. And with over 23 years in the healthy fast food industry, they’ve grown to make some of the best smoothies in the industry.
So what’s on the menu?
For starters, no matter your dietary requirements, Kauai has you covered. You’ll find gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and even paleo-specific smoothies on their menu.
They also have smoothies designed for those seeking something special. Superfood smoothies and protein smoothies are available for those after an ultra-healthy lifestyle.
More than 15 different smoothie combinations are available on their menu, which can make it a little difficult for newcomers to choose what to get. So, why not give some of their most popular smoothies a go to begin?

Mango Berry is, by far, their most popular smoothie. It’s filled with mango, raspberries, coconut milk, honey, and purified water. It’s gluten free and paleo certified as well.
If you’re after a bit more protein in your smoothie, you can’t go wrong with the Cinnabomb. It’s got whey protein (sourced from grass-fed cows), banana, almond macadamia nut butter, cinnamon, honey, and purified water. In a 500ml serving of the Cinnabomb, you’ll get around 33g of protein as well.
Even though those two are some of their customer’s favourites, their smoothie menu has been adjusted and perfected over many years. It’ll be tough to order a smoothie from Kauai and be unhappy with your order.
Want to continue your healthy trend but feel like giving smoothies a break? Sushi. Get some sushi in you. Head down to your local Simply Asia and check out their menu.
Kauai Bowls
If you don’t like your foods blended and drinkable, they have a great menu of salad bowls and warm bowls as well. Available with a huge range of different, fresh ingredients and in many combinations.
Their salad bowls are crispy, crunchy, and fresh. Perfect for a warm day or a quick and healthy lunch. They’re all packed with beneficial fibers, lean protein, and healthy fats – everything your body needs to function at its best.
Popular salad bowls include Chipotle Steak. A creation of grilled steak with a huge mixture of fresh and nutritious vegetables to go with it. If steak’s not for you, give their Superfood Salad Bowl a shot instead. It’s got avo, broccoli, cashews, red pepper, rosa tomatoes, carrot, cucumber, chia seeds, lettuce, and lemon olive oil dressing. Health overload.
On the warm side of their bowl dishes, you’ll also find healthy, yet curiously delicious menu items as well. If you’ve never tried it before, start off with the Asian Rainbow. It comes with a base of free range chicken paired with a range of different vegetables. To top it off, there’s an Asian-style salad dressing drizzled over it.
Whatever bowl you choose, you’ll be served a colourful creation ingredients that both your taste buds and body will love you for choosing. Enjoy.
With the focus on healthy living continuing to grow in South Africa and throughout the world, even some of the notoriously unhealthy restaurant chains are making the switch to healthy foods. One of them being McDonald’s. In fact, you can now find a range of quite healthy meals on the McDonald’s menu.

About Kauai
Never had the pleasure of ordering from Kauai’s menu before and want to know what they’re all about? Here it is in one sentence from their CEO, Dean Koworski:
Kauai is a fast-casual restaurant group focused on the healthy, natural food space.
The health food chain was originally founded in South Africa more than two decades ago. Their popularity grew exponentially throughout the country and they soon felt the need to spread their delicious foods all around the world.
Today, you’ll be able to find a Kauai restaurant in Thailand, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, and many more countries. All serve up a delicious, locally-focused menu to anyone that walks through their doors.
On top of all their dedicated locations, you’ll also be able to find plenty of their smoothie products available in supermarkets.
They partnered with Pick ‘N Pay in late 2019, allowing you to come home and enjoy a Kauai smoothie on the spot.
Kauai continues to plan more expansions around the world, and they’ll likely all be successful.

Enjoy your food!
Kauai was very good and healthy in beginning. Nowadays you never get what you order. Most salads are soaked in sauces which is unhealthy and most people find it appalling.
Why not serving your sauces separately please.
We all need to move towards healthy diet. Kauai started with that concept
Please introduce a wider variety of salads or give us the option to put our salad together and obviously pay for it. I am sure most people won’t mind paying for healthy additions as long as they happy with what they get in the end
